Most local ads fail because they're too vague.

A boosted post, a generic "contact us" ad, or a broad awareness campaign usually doesn't give people a clear reason to inquire. The campaign needs to be built around one specific service, one specific local audience, and one next step that feels easy to take.

Too broad

"We offer quality service" doesn't give people a reason to act.

When the ad could be about anything, the audience scrolls past. The campaign needs one specific service the right people are already thinking about.

Too much friction

Sending cold traffic to a full website often leaves people confused.

Homepage menus, multiple service pages, and unclear next steps kill momentum. The next step from the ad needs to be obvious.

No follow-up system

Even good inquiries can go cold if they're not contacted quickly.

The ad creates the inquiry. Follow-up speed and lead handling determine how many become real customers.

What changes when you work with me

A real campaign, built around the service you want more of.

Inquiries around one profitable service

The campaign is built around the job, appointment, estimate, or booking type you actually want more of — not your entire menu of services.

Built-in qualification

The form can ask the right questions upfront, so you're not chasing every random click. Better signals in means better leads out.

Clear tracking and follow-up

You know where inquiries are coming from, what they asked for, and what needs to happen next — with weekly check-ins on what's working.

How It Works

A simple ad system built around one clear next step.

The first campaign should not try to do everything. It focuses on one service, one local audience, and one action you want people to take.

Choose one offer

We pick the one service most worth advertising first — the highest-margin job or the one you'd happily double tomorrow.

Build the campaign

I create the strategy, ad copy, creative direction, targeting, and setup — built to feel clear, local, and easy to act on.

Send traffic to a simple next step

A Meta lead form for lower friction, or a landing page when the service needs higher intent. Whichever fits the offer.

Optimize based on real inquiries

Every week I review cost per inquiry, lead quality, which angle is winning, and what to adjust — and report it in plain English.

The ads are only part of the system

The fastest follow-up usually wins.

A good campaign can create the inquiry, but the follow-up process determines how many turn into real conversations. That's why I look at where the lead goes, how fast your team can respond, and whether the form is asking enough to make the inquiry useful.

  • Email, SMS, or CRM delivery — sent the moment a lead comes in
  • Simple lead qualification questions baked into the form
  • Weekly review of lead quality, not just lead volume
How TrentScales Started

Four years inside ad agencies. Now you work directly with me.

For the past four years, I've consulted on digital ad campaigns for ad agencies — the person they call when a campaign isn't pulling or when lead quality drops. I've worked across Facebook, Instagram, Google, and other platforms for clinics, venues, contractors, home-service brands, and lead-generation companies. The pattern is always the same: focused, low-friction campaigns built around one clear offer.

TrentScales cuts the agency middle out. No handoff to an account manager. I build the strategy, write the ads, set up the campaign, watch the numbers, and make the adjustments — directly for owner-led local businesses.

  • Direct communication with the person doing the work
  • Simple reporting in plain English
  • No bloated agency process or 12-month contracts
  • Honest call about whether ads are right for you

Lead-gen focused

Specialized in inquiry-driven campaigns for local service businesses.

Now direct

Working with owners directly — no agency layer in between.

Is this a fit?

Honest about who this works for — and who it doesn't.

Ads can create opportunities, but the business still needs a clear service, a follow-up process, and enough budget to test properly.

This is a good fit if:

  • One new customer is worth enough to justify paid ads
  • You serve a clear local area
  • You can follow up with inquiries quickly
  • You want more of a specific service, not just "more exposure"

This is probably not a fit if:

  • You want guaranteed leads with no testing period
  • You can't respond to inquiries quickly
  • Your service area or offer is unclear
  • You're looking for viral content, not inquiry-focused ads
If I do not think ads are the right next move, I'll tell you directly.
FAQ

Straight answers to the questions business owners usually ask.

Do you guarantee inquiries?
No. Ad results depend on the offer, market, budget, follow-up speed, competition, and demand. What I do guarantee is a clear campaign structure, regular optimization, and honest reporting on what is working, what is not working, and what needs to change.
How much should I spend on ads?
Most local businesses should start with $500–$1,500/month in ad spend. If the budget is too low to test properly, I'll tell you before we start. Ad spend goes directly to Meta through your own ad account — you stay in control of it.
Do I need a landing page?
Not always. Some campaigns can start with a built-in lead form on the ad platform. For higher-intent services, a landing page may help qualify people better. I'll recommend the simplest option based on the service, market, and type of inquiry you want.
What if the inquiries are low quality?
Lead quality is reviewed as part of the campaign. If the form is attracting the wrong people, I adjust the offer, questions, creative, targeting, or campaign structure. The goal is not just cheaper leads — it's better inquiries that are actually worth following up with.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Local service businesses, contractors, clinics, venues, event businesses, and owner-led companies that want more inquiries from their surrounding area.
How fast can we launch?
Once the offer, service area, campaign direction, and access are clear, the first campaign can usually be built quickly. The bigger priority is making sure the message and follow-up process are right before sending traffic.
What do you need from me?
Your service area, the service you want to promote, photos or videos if you have them, access to the relevant ad accounts (Meta Business, Google Ads, etc.), and clarity on how you want to receive new inquiries.
What happens when an inquiry comes in?
That depends on the setup. Inquiries can be sent by email, text, CRM notification, or directly into your existing follow-up process. The important thing is that someone follows up quickly while the person is still interested.
Can you help with follow-up automation?
Yes. Basic follow-up systems can be added if needed, including SMS notifications, CRM pipelines, lead qualification flows, and simple nurture sequences.
